You might have a bit of a wait for a detailed answer. Most people who have DVDA Pro don't have DVDA Studio, and vice versa. Although, from what I can tell just by looking at the specs, Studio is catching up pretty well. I think most of the features lacking in Studio are geared towards users wanting to have their discs professionally replicated.

You can take a look at the descriptions for each product (see previous links*) and make your own comparison, though the description of DVDA isn't as complete. Suffice to say, most of what you see for DVDA Studio is also in DVDA Pro.

Or you could download a demo of DVDA Pro and check it out for yourself.

Can you purchase DVDA Pro by itself without purchasing Vegas Pro?

No.

* Regarding those description pages: 1) On the VMS page, scroll down about 3/4 for the DVDA Studio description. 2) On the DVDA Pro page, note that the part about Blu-Ray burning actually refers to Vegas Pro. DVDA doesn't even know what Blu-Ray is.

I think that the main differences are that the Studio version does not support scripting or subtitles.
