subclips between projects?

I have 2 instances open with 2 different projects; create a subclip with the trimmer in one of them; it as added to the project media bin.

If I need the exactly same subclip in the other instance/project, is there a way to get it there without re-creating? I tried copy/paste, even dragging between media bins - nothing gives...

Copy/paste from bins don't work but copy/paste Events should work.

Of course copy/paste from timeline works, but I'd like to have it in the other project media bin, so that I can right-click drag, and paste e.g. just take 3, video only.

Yes - it can be done by copying to the timeline and saving the project; it will than appear in its media bin (not as a subclip - just another event), and can be used this way. But copying just subclips (which are simply references to clips, present in BOTH projects) between those project's media bin would be nice.
