The minimum on-screen time for text is one frame of video. At 30 FPS, high contrast text is quite apparent. You'll have to find some way to make the text inconspicuous besides on-screen duration.

Watched @john_dennis demo. Would it help if you added some transparency to the text and made it larger?

Good idea. Maybe change the colour to gray and insert it where there are greyish block on a building? Such a building will be in the footage

Thats interesting.Thanks. Maybe hide in a flash between scene. I was trying to upload such a scene but it wouldn't upload. Or I might hide it by colouring it like the local bus, same colour but part transparent.

@perrywynkles I've tried in the past to add a single frame of text to a 10frame still image taken from the video. rendered that out & imported it again, shrunk it on the timeline, rendered out again & reimported, (as many times as you want) this sort of reduces the text from a single frame to a picture or pictures within the GOP (I don't know the facts), but however much I reduced/shrunk this the text is still very visible when reduced to a single frame & added back into the video even though within that single frame the text is only a fraction of the GOP, I'm guessing it's something like @john_dennis says 'minimum on-screen time' 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for your contribution. Did you try colouring it like the background when it appears? Imagine if @john_dennis words were more transparent and coloured similar to background. Maybe also a flash between scenes.

@perrywynkles  No I was just trying to make the text 'subliminal message...How do I make them flash so they are not seen' as you say.

transparent and coloured similar to background

I guess there's a 1000 different ways of composting the subliminal message onto the video. 🤷‍♂️

I don't know if they will be hidden by flash. Just wondering. There is a flash transition, maybe could be hidden in that
