I am facing strange bluray behaviour again:
- I have a bluray with only one video (V1). This video has two subtitle tracks (ST1/ST2).
- The Bluray have one menu with two buttons:
Button 1 should start V1 with subtitle track ST1
Button 2 should start the same V1 with subtitle track ST2
When I test this within DVD Architect 5.0b everything works fine. The subtitles are selected and displayed.
Then I burn it to a BD-R.
For an unknown reason my bluray player (Sony BDP-S300) is ignoring the subtitle command and keeps the subtitle switched off – so I don’t see any subtitle. (I can choose the subtitles manually with the remote control – they are perfectly present)
I tried to burn a down converted DVD of exactly the same setup. This works fine – exactly as it should. (also played in my Sony BDP-S300)
I have to deal a lot with subtitles. And I like a lot the ease of DVDA with subtitles when I did DVDs. But this is my third post related to problems with subtitles on Bluray.

It seems that every time I am working on a Bluray Version of my disks I am facing something not working – And I have to find a complicated workaround. Is there a general Problem with BD Subtitles? How is this addressed by Sony? Does anybody have any information?
Thanks for any Information.
