Subtle audio timing probs?

I am running v3a on a PIII733, W98SE machine with a MOTU 1224 interface. I [and some clients] feel that there is a very subtle [i.e. 1-2 frames], uniform delay imposed on newly recorded tracks in relation to existing reference tracks.

Is there any known timing issue with v3a and the MOTU PCI324 when recording 24 bit?

***I am still using the "Vegas.exe=392" patch in the MOTUP.cfg file.***

TIA

You can check the delay by lining up the cursor between audio and video events and looking at the frames & waveforms.

If it's a recording delay issue, go the Options, Preferences, Audio, Advanced, and you can set the recording latency yourself instead of letting the software figure it out.

If you're playing back via external monitor, your DV decoding hardware might have a different delay than what the software is assuming. This can be adjusted in Options, Preferences, Video Device, Sync offset (assuming DV device).
