Sudden loss of audio during rendering to MPEG

I'm befuddled. I haven't rendered in quite some time. I'm using VV 5.0b and when I render to MPEG 2, there is no audio. I've looked at all the preferences to see if something was turned off and nothing stood out. Also, when I try rendering to MPEG 1, it fails about 2 to 3 minutes into rendering with an "unknown error". I don't know if these two event are related.
The only thing I can think of that's been done to the computer since the last time I used VV, is I added a Turtle Beach analog capture/rendering software to capture some of my ancient videos from the mid 90's.

Any points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to get the son's recent sports videos (DV) onto disc for the holiday distribution.

Sounds like a problem alright. I can't help, other than to suggest posting over on the video side of the forum. They may know if there are any known problems with your new card and Vegas. A reinstall of the MPEG plugin or vegas as a whole seems like a good first step. If all you need is DV for the holidays then uninstall and remove the newer card.

Good luck!
