Suggestion: Call Outs Plugin

Hey Sony have you ever consider coming out with a "Callouts" package such as "TechSmiths' Camtasia" and "Ripple Trainings Callouts for Plugin Final Cut Pro"? The various callouts such as arrows as well as the sketch motion callouts are probably the only reason why I use Camtasia Studio after my recordings, rather than just saving Camtasia recordings as AVI's and using Vegas Pro more often. They are a very common method to direct the viewers attention to specific items in the video. This is especially helpful in the area of training videos where even many of the professional Sony trainers make use of.

Anyone else make a motion for this?

Yes, still waiting! I thought this was an obvious feature, but apparently not...

Hello? Hello? Is there anyone there? Sony? Sony? Hello?

I also thought we would see a screen record feature by now too...

Hello? Hello? Anyone there?

CaptainKen, ahem, this is not going to go as you seem to call out...because

VegasPro is not only an NLE but also a very competent compositor. With a supporting graphics system like what Digital Juice offers, you can do anything possible in a high-end compositor as you will be able with VegasPro.
I dare say there is another ramification which in combination with symbol font and other truetype graphics - you have another option within the provided character graphics ProType editor of any version of VegasPro since version 9...

I'm not sure why you would ask Sony to do this.

Those Call Out plug-ins that you linked to are not created by Apple for Final Cut Pro X, they are created by third parties like Ripple Training and MotionVFX.

Since the call-outs are mostly text titles, you would probably get further asking a company like NewBlueFX why they don't have a Call Outs package for their Titler Pro? (maybe they already do).

I wouldn't expect Sony to add something like this because it's not something that everyone needs and is better kept as a 3rd party plug-in for those who need it.
