Suggestions???

1. Is there anything special I need to do in Vegas 7 to make sure I'm running both cores as fast as possible? Any settings or what not?

I rendered an .avi out from AE 6.5 and got a beautiful video file, clear as a bell, and it was about .98GB in size. I pull it into Vegas and add the sound fx, etc. and when I render it out to avi I get a 122 MB file with interlace flicker. I'm still a noobie so suggestion here would be good. I don't change much on the project in vegas...I render to a standard .avi at best video quality, Interlace bottom first (because I'm here in the US and used a DVC30), gaussian blend and leave everything else the same (DVD Quality). So I don't understand why it looks crappier than the original. Oh, it also appears fuzzier and darker than the AE output.

Thanks in advance!

I guess this advice is too obvious to give. If you got a fine output from AE 6.5 why bother with redoing it in Vegas? All re-rendering causes file degradation. Anything you can do (as far as i know) in Vegas you can do in AE. So do it all in AE. Helpful, aren't i?

you're rendering it to a compressed file format (I assume). But you didn't really give any useful info on what you did, just the start & results. Need things like render template used, start file type, etc.
