OK, further research seams to indicate that I need a midi sequencer for the drum programming. I have Acid Studio 7. How would this work? Do I sequence my Superior Drummer drum tracks in Acid Studio, then render them out as WAV files...or does Acid somehow follow along to my multitrack audio in Vegas? Sorry for the noob questions.

Vegas has no midi synth support; it is an audio workstation.
You can lay down your tracks in Acid, save as audio files, and import those into Vegas.

That's what I was thinking. I've used Vegas since v1, but it's always been with grumpy drummers. This will be my first attempt at sequencing the crash bang.

Thanks.

1) Lay down a reference lead first.
2) Lay down or record the bass track.
3) Lay down the drum track.
4) Delete the reference lead track.
5) Proceed from there, laying or recording over the lead, rhythms, and fills as planned.

It really only works if you do it in this order.
Trust me, I'm a producer.
