SVMS 9.0c

In Release Notes I read:

Notable fixes/changes in version 9.0c
* Added.support for uploading high-definition content to YouTube.
* Fixed a problem with importing audio from standard-definition DVD camcorder clips.
* Fixed a bug that could cause Vegas Movie Studio to crash when using clips imported from DVD camcorders.

As I am much concerned with an easier way of HD upload to YT, I wanted to learn more about the update, but could find it nowhere. Where to look for info?

I wonder if they fixed the bug with rendering on 64-bit systems. Guess I'll just have to try it and see.

The point is I'd like to try, but can't find it.

That's because it's not there yet. First post was made in wrong forum...it's Vegas Pro at is now ver. 9c, NOT Vegas Movie Studio.

No, the original poster probably IS talking about Movie Studio -- there is a new product lurking in the Vegas Family pages called "Vegas Movie Studio HD".

It is now the lowest-cost Vegas -- it appears to be Movie Studio with HD capabilities but no disc-burning (No DVD Architect Studio).

By poking around and looking at the trial download, you can see that it is a version 9.0c product. Here are the release notes:

In fact, those release notes curiously refer to "Vegas Movie Studio, Vegas Movie Studio HD, and Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0".

Birk is right though -- Vegas Pro was updated to 9.0c today.

I would guess (pure speculation) that a 9.0c update for VMS and VMS Platinum would be near... but who knows?

Wow - just when I thought Sony had created the most convoluted and obscure set of products and product names they go even further over the top. Someone back there must be smoking something.

I opted for Vegas Movie Studio Platinum because i wanted to directly edit my GH1's AVCHD files to produce 1080P HD video output. It does this quite well actually, and when I bought it Movie Studio Platinum was the only version that could do this (other than the $600 Pro version.)

I thought the free addition of DVD Architect Studio 4.5 was a nice addition, but it turns out to be pretty much of a dud because it only handle DVD quality (720P) video. And even if I wanted to make DVD quality videos (which I don't) I'd have to re-render all my HD files down to DVD level. Such a pain.

But now it seems Vegas Movie Studio HD will handle my AVCHD files too. And it costs less than Movie Studio Platinum. And it doesn't include DVD Architect 4.5 which I don't really want. And it has a new update my Platinum version lacks.

Now tell me, is this what you consider good marketing?
