symbols/pictures in credits

I'm fairly new to Vegas' titling features, and I couldn't really find anything to do with this by searching.

I was just wondering if it's possible, using the ProType titler utility or something in Vegas to insert symbols into a standard, rolling credits (examples of what I mean could be a company logo, or even the Double-D dolby symbol). All I can really see in the Titler are options for working with fonts; and no option for including other graphics in it.

Be careful with company logos. You can be sued if you don't have permission to use
such as with Dolby®.

I know of no easy way except what I'm going to suggest.
There are free fonts out there, that may do the job for you. The trick is you have to search until you find what you want.

I believe the double D dolby Logo symbol can't be used without their written permission, but I think you can still say 'Digital Dolby' without permission. You still might be able to design one that looks close, that's legal. But you better make sure.

Maybe you can find exactly what you need, but there are numerous fonts out there.

I was really only planning to use the Dolby one as a fun thing, in the credits of a family movie DVD my grandparents have asked me to make.

Either way, though, isn't the Dolby Digital encoder used by Vegas "double-D" certified? Doesn't this allow you to use the logo on things encoded by it?

Note the difference in 50 copies or more.

Wow, thanks a lot; that's very much appreciated.

I doubt there's a lot of risk involved, though, when there will only be about 8 copies distributed to my grandparents and a few aunts and uncles. I'm including these things mostly as a fun touch to make it look a little more professional, heh.

Man, they've really got it all in that font, though. I'm amazed nobody's taken a crack at whoever made it. The only thing it doesn't seem to have is that weird, elliptical "globe" type thing that always seems to be at the very end of every credits roll in all the movies I've ever seen, lol.
