Sync Cursor

I would like to know more about sync cursor in the key framer. Mainly under what conditions exactly is it not available.

I am trying to keyframe a generated media event and the button is greyed out. I see this from time to time and have not been able to nail down what causes this behaviour.

It is not available with generated media. I believe that is the only restriction.

One way to work things out when time comes to place those keys is select the clip and play it with loop option on then tweak everything in real time as the loop is playing again and again (though I have to do it with "Draft" definition on Preview monitor most of the times due to my "soon-to-be-prehistoric" computer)...

That would be a nice option to be able to synch it with timeline, as a few of us here will agree (the issue has been discussed a few times). No big deal but, still...

As Spot explained to me once, with generated media, there is no time involved. So one workaround would be (if it's worth it) to render out the generated media first.
