I am archiving several VHS tapes recorded with a Sony VHS VCR to DVD for permanent records. Captures of some tapes gradually creep out of sync (video audio sync) while other tapes in this set remained in sync without any deivation.
The sync issue is between video and the associated audio track. There are two capture formats available to me that are compatible with my ATI All in wonder 7500 Radon capture card. One always seem to work better than the other so I use that one as default but for two of these tapes, using either capture driver or format will not keep the two tracks in sync. This seems very odd as the video and audio are always in sync throughout all tapes.
Can someone assist and possibly point me toward a solution as to how can keep the video and audio in sync. I have exhausted every idea I have had. I can get the sync correct at any place in the capture by ungrouping the audio and video events and moving them so that all is fine, but if I am half way through the tape the sync is out again at the beginning or at the end. There seems to be no end to this
I am sure that several folks have encountered this problem as well, how do I filx this??
Thanks so very much.
Jerry
