Sync Problems with V8 and Mackie Control

Upgraded from V6 to V8. All my projects work perfect in V6, never a sync issue.

NOW when i load an old (and working) file into V8 it plays fine, but then i hold down the FF button on my mackie control (while the media was playing) it moves ahead, but when i release the FF button (video continues to play) the audio and video are very noticably out of sync. And stays out of sync until i hit the stop button, then i immediatly can hit play...and all is back in sync.

Never once had issues in V6 with this.

Anyone else having problems?

I've noticed much the same in V7, just playing off the T/L.
It seems like a buffer gets emptied and sync drifts. Hit stop and the buffer fills again and you're right for a while.
Are you using ASIO drivers by any chance?
Migh be worthwhile increasing the buffer size. Haven't tried this myself to see if it cures the problem. If that fails try changing the Dynamic RAM size in Vegas.

Bob, What dynamic Ram settings do you suggest?

The ASIO drivers will sometimes cause sync problems as you describe. Memory will also.
