Sync Video from 2 cameras with audio.

I need to sync up the audio with 2 video tracks and here is how I did it. Is there a better way?

1. I marked a common audio portion of each video track and then changed the snap to grid to single frame size and slid video left or right a frame at a time until it was in sync.

Thanks in advance and have a great day!!!

How do you change the snap to grid to get single frame? Thanks.

Look for the video/software to be release shortly by Gary Kleiner. The software is specifically designed to help sync multiple cameras and edit multi-cam shoots. Search for "gkvideoguy"

It's under Options,Grid spacing, and make sure snap to grid is checked.

I'll watch for that. Until then, is this the right way to do it.

Thx

There is no one right way to do it. If it works, then it's the right way. There may be a better way, but again, if it works for you then it's okay :)

What I do to sync two or more cameras is to set them running, then I use an old camera flash which gives 1 frame of white to use as a reference point.

Works great and can be done in a large room, just have your operators zoom in on your location.

I have the cameras face each other and then one of the operators opens and closes his hands over the lens of one of the cameras. (like a center wipe).
Match where the two hands touch and you are in sync. Super easy.
