synchronize video velocity envelope with audio ?

Hi;

i want to achieve this effect of a suddenly stopping film projection, where the video part slows down rapidly and ends in a black screen. In synch with that the audio speed shall slow down to zero within about half a second.

I know how to dynamically change the velocity of the video part by using a velocity envelope. But how can i synchronise the audio part with the velocity changes of the video part ?

regards,
Hussayn

If the entire duration of the slow down is pretty short you can probably get something close enough to be usable in Sound Forge. Export that small section of audio and open it in Sound Forge. Go to Pitch / Bend. You can set the beginning pitch to +0 and the end pitch to -24. Repeat this a couple times and the audio will have a sudden and dramatic slow down. Save this as a new clip and import back into Vegas.

You may have to fudge it and experiment a few times to get something that matches close enough.
