First of all, let me say how wonderful a resource these forums seem to be. I'm in the process of creating a system to start editing on. I'll probably be building my own with the following components. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

AMD 2500 Barton processor
ASUS motherboard w/onboard sound
512 MB RAM
2x80GB ATA-100 hard drives
Matrox G550 video card
Lite-On cd burner and DVD drives
Pioneer DVD burner
Vegas 4+DVD
Windows XP Home

Since this system will be limited to video editing and general office apps, I'm not really concered about gaming performance.
