Do quite a bit of taking VHS tapes and putting on dvd.
The process is "long" - the time it takes to load in as a avi into vegas - then (without editing) making a mpeg2 file for dvd. Authoring and burning is pretty quick.
Was really wondering if buying a dvd recorder (less than £100 in UK) would obviosly be the quicker route. There is no problem in making a proper menu system, as I would rip the files of the dvd and bring them into my authoring software to burn the final disc.
This way it would avoid the bottleneck of software rendering of avi to mpeg2.
Anyone any views?
Mel.
