Did it work in the Win98 system with Vegas?
I think someone from the audio forum had it working, I've been pretty keen on the Powercore except many of the top shelf Sony Oxford plugs that run on it reportedly only run with Slotools.

Bob,

Never used the win98 system with Vegas, had this machine built especially for video, so I can't answer that!

You're up late! I just got in from Football, what's your excuse? :)

Cheers,

Andy

Powercore plugins (.dll) should be in a VSTPlugins folder. Did you try searching that folder from Vegas? Could Vegas see them and not load, or did it not find them? I'm just checking to see if you've already done the normal routine and whether the TC plugins are alluding Vegas for some other reason.

As long as the show up in Logic, they should be fine in Vegas. I have UAD-1 plugins working in Vegas at the moment.

kdm,

thanks for the reply.

I'm at work so I can't access my Vegas computer, however if you or someone here would kindly outline the ' normal routine' to get the dlls into the VSTPlugins folder I'll have a crack when I get home.

Not sure how to get Vegas to look for them, so I don't know if it will load them.

TIA.

Cheers,

Andy

I haven't installed the Powercore back in my new box. The SuperMicro MOBO and the UAD 100 don't seem to get along either, so I'm holding back on putting that in, too. Sorry I don't have better info. My Powercore is just sitting here being lazy at the moment.

Hi All!

Got a reply about a similar thing with Logic Audio not seeing the Powercore, and the guy suggested I copy the DLLs into the Logic VST folder.

Might try the same with Vegas and see how we go.

Anybody want to stop me before I do something really stupid? :)

If you're only copying DLL's to the VST folder, you cant really hurt anything. Just be sure to rescan the folders after you do it.

Thanks Spot!

I'm at work and not in front of Vegas, so this may be a stupid question BUT - How do I rescan for the folders.

Appreciate the response.

Hit Refresh in the VST Effects folder. That's all.

Andy - I'm another Logic 5.5 user who is soon hoping to move over to Acid 6 for midi & soft synths.
I'm trying in advance to find the best way to port my EXS24 samples, which have cost a fair amount, to a format which Acid will be able to use. I've been told about Chicken Translator which sounds a possible, but I'm also wondering whether Rewire may be a possible way of achieving what I need.
Do you use the EXS24 for soft samples? If so, any ideas?

Peter,

Sorry man, I use only the very basics of Logic to do some Midi drum tracks, and play Guitars and Bass on top.

I haven't messed around with that stuff at all.

Good luck!
