Tell me why.....

I shouldn't buy Wavelab v3.0.

I currently use SoundForge. But I don't as yet own CD
Architect, so I can only burn CD's using the Adaptec
Software that came with the writer. This is adequate for
backup and basic audio CD's but I currently have 3 projects
on the go which will require me to produce nice red book
CDs.

So problem is, in UK price for CD Architect is £299. ( I'm
really p*ssed off because the distributors are currently
giving away CD Architect with Sound Forge! )
Price for Wavelab 3.0 is £289.

Wavelab, as well as burning red book CDs, also gives me 24-
bit support ( I have a Lexicon Studio and am recording in
24-bit ). From what I understand best results come from
processing in the highest resolution until I reach
mastering stage and then converting to 16-bit, so this 24-
bit support is a big plus.

Most of the plugins I use are DirectX, which Wavelab
supports.

PLease don't misunderstand, I like Sound Forge, I've been
using it since v4.0, I've got the Acoustic Mirror and Noise
reduction plugins. So I've invested a substantial amount of
money in this software. It just seems to me that Steinberg
are getting ahead of you with this particular bit of
software and certainly with their pricing strategy.
