I have DVD Architect 4 or 5 but I just need help making a Templete.

What I meen is when I make a Menu Bassed DVD and I have the Menu setup where everything is the Font Size I like and the Thumnails are put in the spots I want.

Now say I want to use this Menu for all DVDs I make even latter.

Can I just save how I want the Menu to be and then I just have to insert the Videos?

Or is this not something you can do?

Have you tried going to the File menu and selecting the option to Export Menu as Theme?

Well let me tell you what my Menu looks loke.

I have all my Video Clips on the Menu as Thumbnails. And then I have the Titles of every Video Clip under it and the Titles are in the Font Size and Type I want.

And it is all aranged onscreen the way I want.

No if I go to File then Export Theme.

I get this when I make a DVD say next week and I want to use the Type of Menu I just used and setup I just have to Import the Menu Theme I just Exported.

But when I Import the Theme is it going to have the Blank spots where the Video Thumbnails where?

YES - a DVD theme is a placeholder - that's all it is

Thank you for all your help.

I just want to know when I make my Menus I click the View Tab then Show Title Safe Area.

And a Grid show up on screen am I right this is were you can put Title and words but do not go outside of the Grid or they may not be seen?

And then the Show Action Safe Area what is this for?
Steve Grisetti wrote on 9/7/2012, 12:20 PM
Grid view is just to help guide your placements, so you can line things up.

The Title Safe Area is the box you should keep any text within.
thebrain900 wrote on 9/7/2012, 1:17 PM
OK so what is the Action Safe Area for?
Steve Grisetti wrote on 9/7/2012, 4:12 PM
That's where you keep things that your viewer may want to activate -- like scene buttons -- on your menu page.

Well I have the Text MENU and I have it right under the Text Safe Area Grid.

The Grid right above this one is the Actipon Safe Area Grid.

What I want is the Menu Text first and all my Thumbnails of the Videps will be under it.

And each Thumbnail will start it's own video.

I just did not know if I should have the Menu Text right under the Action Safe Area because this is the Highest Grid or keep it under the Text safe area grid witch is the Grid right under Action safe area?

Just one more thing about how Exporting as Theme works?

Say I have everything setup the way I want it on my Menu and I also have a Background photo on my Menu.

Then I export as Theme is it going to keep the Background photo as well I think it should if I export as theme this is part of the Theme?

Am I right?

Why not try it and find out? I find that if I try things out that I'm not sure of and they work, it's far more satisfying than being told how to do everything.
By all means, if you've tried things out and you've drawn a blank, ask away and you will get the advice you require. However, if you're perceived not to be doing any experimenting, you're less likely to get any help.
