Text anchor point extremely glitchy

I'm using Movie Studio 17.0 Platinum. Trying to animate text and need to anchor the top left corner. Using the "anchor point" drop down menu and selecting the proper point appears to work in the video preview when I drag the cursor. When I animate the text and add more characters, the anchor point appears to work when dragging the cursor. When I actually press play, the anchor point is not respected and the text shifts as if there is no anchor. In the generate media box, I've ensured the anchor point is not animated and it seems to know it should respect the anchor in the preview. I rendered the short clip to test and the final product does not respect the anchor point.. how is it this buggy?

I've played around with this and something isn't working as expected. It's also inconsistent in its behaviour. Sometimes when I advance by clicking on my animation keyframes (which add another letter) it behaves as expected with the start of the text staying put. But other times the text start position moves.

In projects where I've added text, like in a typewriter effect, I've typed in the entire text then uncovered it letter by letter using a mask. I've a feeling there have been other threads or comments on problems animating text.

Just tried this in MS 16. Simple task, animate tracking to make the text appear to stretch to the right. What I got in return was a jittery mess, like it was fighting to be top left anchor but something else in the program kept bringing it back to center. I made new text to the left with a center anchor attempting to do the same animation and it worked beautifully. I rendered them together, one after the other, and they both acted like they were using center anchor.

Reporting the bug to Magix. I doubt they'll fix MS 16 but maybe will fix it in 17 or later.
