Vegas does not do word wrap (that I know about). Personally, I use ProType for all my text and do the line breaks there. Google "Sony Vegas word wrap" or search this forum for "word wrap" ..

I used to find this a pain too. Then I realized how stupid I was thinking: Vegas lets you preview the text window in the preview windows as you're modifying the text, so I just have my TL head on the media and hit "enter" where I want my linebreaks to look good. Was a big "duh" thing for me.

I'm trying v21 right now; is this still the case that there's no text box feature like photoshop, or a word wrap feature to keep text within the frame?

NewBlue Titler Pro has that option.

ProType Titler - which is a deprecated feature - and Titles & Text are old features in Vegas Pro. Please see the 2nd last comment by a Vegas staff member in https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/feature-requests-regarding-pro-type-titler--142514/#ca892038

We have made it no secret that we very much desire to create a new, more fully functional titler for VEGAS Pro. Currently we offer the Titles and Text plugin natively, but we realize that is quite limited in functionality. A new titler is fairly high on our list of features we would like to do natively in VEGAS Pro, but we waiting for some engineering resources to become available for us to assign to this task. Right now our priorities revolve around improving app stability and a revamp of our playback engine.

Previously, to compensate for the lack of professional titling options in VEGAS, we have bundled a third party titler with some of package offerings. For VEGAS Pro 21, we are not currently providing a third party titler with any of our packages, but I will forward this to our sales group.

In the past we have partnered with FXhome, NewBlue and BorisFX all of which have fantastic titlers and we currently do have an expansion pack available for VEGAS Pro that has TitlerPro from NewBlue. Please see

I recall a years' earlier comment on the forum from the Vegas team that coding used for these titlers is not adaptable to developement in the modern era.
