William, there are 3 various tickertape Veg files on the VASST site.
http://www.vasst.com/login.htm click on the Veg files link. You may need to register if you haven't been there.

Add a text event to your project with an appropriate font. Set a keyframe at the start of the event with the text off-screen to the right. Move to the end of your event, set another keyframe, then move the text off-screen to the left. Pretty easy.

You can probably find a VEG at Spot's VASST site.
