Text getting cut off when using Titles & Text

Kendra-Moppin wrote on 12/23/2023, 11:15 PM

I'm using text with various Titles & Text effects, but every single one is cutting off my text. I have words on four different lines, but only the top two lines show no matter what I do. I've changed font size, cropping, scaling, etc. Nothing works. I can not get the last two lines to show. I've even tried changing the aspect ratio, but that doesn't work. In fact, upon playing the video, the text effect doesn't work, either. Can someone please help? Thank you!!!

@Kendra-Moppin Hi, move this black box to the centre of the screen, that should show all your text, then you can use Pan/Crop to position the text.

@Kendra-Moppin I see you are using an adjustment track to put your text event in. I would not use an adjustment track for that. Remove the adjustment track and insert a normal video track and place your text on the new video track.

If for some weird reason only 2 out of 4 lines are displayed, you can always insert a second video track (with text) above the original video track with a text event containing the first 2 lines of text (and the old video track beneath it has the another text event containing the last 2 lines of text).

Okay, I did that, and it fixed that problem, but now the animation preset isn't working. Actually, it wasn't working before. I've deleted the adjustment track and created a video track instead, but the problem persists, and now the text is getting cut off again no matter where I put the black box. I've even tried changing the anchor point but to no avail. :(

LOL I'm not sure how I got an adjustment track in there! Okay, I've changed it to a video track and deleted the adjustment track, but the animation preset wasn't working; then suddenly it did work but the text is still cut off. :(

Personally, I'd need to see the VEG file to see exactly what is happening...

@Kendra-Moppin You've still got Pan/Crop adjusted, that can be seen by the little dot on the Pan/Crop symbol on the event, Go to Pan/Crop on each event - Right click - Restore, you can then move around & size the text with the black onscreen box.
