Text Hintergrundfarbe

Bei meinen ersten Schritten mit der Software VMS 8.0 habe ich ein Problem. Beim einfügen eines Textes kann die Hintergrundfarbe so eingestellt werden, das er im Video zu sehen ist.

Wie kann ich eine transparente Farbe einstellen??

Wer kann mir helfen. Vermutlich ganz einfach. Alle Versuche bisher ohne Erfolg.

In the 'video events fx' of your text media, go to the 'properties' tab. There you'll find 'background' colours. Precisely under the word 'background', you'll find the alpha (=transparancy) slider. Drag the little triangle down to make the background color transparent.

Thanks for your reply. That is what I dit. But the event is still not to see. Yust a black screen behind the text. Without enclosing a screenshot I can not explain more deeply my problem. Sorry.

Since I read German very poorly (High school German 50 years ago) I really don't know what your particular problem is but I'll try and help.
In the generated media did you choose the text with the gray checkerboard background. That represents transparency. If you then drag that to track one and place your video on track two directly below it you should have the text supperimposed over the video. The 'trickl' is to have the text on a track above the video track not on the same track.

Switch the tracks, or switch media and video. You want the transparent media the highest.

Hi Terry, thanks for the reply. If you say 50 years ago, you must be my age somewere 63 like me.

I have draged it onto the same track and not one below. I will try to do it the way you you explained. keep my fingers cross the this solves my problem.
