Hi all, I searched previous posts, but did not find on that adequately helped me. When I import text that I have created in photoshop into VV5 (with transparent background) the outer edges are "jagged." Both when I import as a single jpeg or in sequence from Particle Illusion.

Any Tips for imported text in general that might help me?? Thanks

Souds like an anti-aliasing problem.

You could 1) add a blur in Vegas (small blur)
2) make sure the text is AA'd in P-Shop.

Are you seeing jaggies in the little preview window or on your preview monitor?

What resolution, what compression? It needs to be at least 655 x 480, anything smaller will definitely be "jaggy." I'm usually double that, just because I'll likely want to zoom/move/pan with the text, or use it as a mask.
If you are creating gradients in the edges of the text, keep in mind that Vegas is resampling it to DV, and gradients don't always fare well in resamples.
Also, what is your preview window set to? Check it at Best/Full, or Preview/Full, see if the titles are still "jaggy."

That problem has been brought up lots of times. I haven't seen a solution to it yet. In fact there is another running thread currently about the same problem.

Not sure if this helps, but I have noticed that I get jagged edges in text when editing graphics with one of my computers but not when editing with the other and they are identical machines, same mother board and OS. Weird.
