I want to know if it is possible to add a new AI "text to speech" voice together with the included free ones where there are'nt really that many and some don't have styles. Vegas Pro 21 build 300. I have tried to find the Vegas/Magix folder that they might be stored in but so far no luck. If not possible then how can I access one that is not in a Vegas special folder but to access one from a new folder somewhere else on my PC. Also I searched arround to buy new AI voices if that is possible. I Hope i am making sense here please let me know..thanks

Text-to-Speech and Speech-to-Text databases are not stored on your computer. From other comments on the forum, it looks like that those databases are held on Microsoft Azure servers.

Thanks again Dexcon I understand. It obviously keeps them in control in such a competetive market with lots of players and all sorts of guys like me trying to find a way around it.. adding AI file choices to Vegas. PITY would be a good feature to source other AI voices from another folder that I could browse too and add eh!. the existing ones are pretty boring and limited even if they are inclluded dare i say free....... what if i was doing a cartoon video and need a different voice style. Not much I can do there then is there? Would I bother going through the exercise of contacting Microsoft and getting the royal run around.... NOT! They must think they know what the Australian market prefers as we are on the dark side of the moon to them and the down under side of the world and don't understand us and what matters (or others too I imagine judging from what you said above re other forum comments) so like politicians living in the dark they set what they think with a narrow view of things and little consultation research and not realizing that the intertnet is a global connected community for one second......... no matter where you are.. my rant anyway. There are plenty of competitors out there offering in excess of 200 AI voices and AI video. A small fee to have more access or unlimited access to over 200 or more AI voices would be acceptable I think ......... so time for a new patch I think? haha I could go on

@Nick-Goward  ... Unfortunately, there isn't a great range of Australian voices in text-to-speech. Late last year, I used William for a YT video but as I mentioned in https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/australian-voices-quality-from-cloud-text-to-speech-subscription--143893/ the voice is rather robotic. There's a link to that YT in that thread video if you want to check out how it sounds in a finished production.

You can use whatever is available globally if it has the type of voices you want. To date this has been more customer service/ newsreading type flat voices vs anything with real character. Microsoft Azure is one collection (VEGAS uses some of those voices). There must be others; are there no Australian developers working in this field?
