Did all the shutdown and reopen, then decided to try signing in and out, and now I can't even sign in to hub. It keeps floating in and out of 'Not Responding"
I wonder if its related to the CrowdStrike (a cybersecurity firm) outage that has 'downed' many computer systems around the world. Computer screens at media companies, supermarkets, banks, airlines and airports and various businesses around the world have failed and display only the BSOD.
The Hub is not working here either.
EDIT: I'm hearing in Sky News AU from a computer expert that the outage was caused by CrowsStrike issuing a software update about 3 hours ago that hasn't worked. The same report has just mentioned that Microsoft's systems have also been affected.
From a recent CrowdStrike post, the update failure seems to be have been fixed. I imagine that the ramifications worldwide for the dodgy update will echo for some time. A few hours ago, CrowdStrike's over-night share price on the NASDAQ plunged some 18% according to a financial report on SkyNews AU which itself had been operating earlier today with limited technical capabilities. At least it does not seem to have been a malicious hack attack.
I didn't "use it" (in another veg right now), but the window popped right up, so it was probably just an overnight server thing. It was working perfectly earlier yesterday.
Now, I hit Analyze and it just resets the window. Open a previously transcribed veg and it stops responding again. Is this going to be an ongoing thing with Speech to Text?
The screenshots I took, I split a clip on the timeline, highlighted it and then chose the speech to text. You don't actually have to have a short clip.
