Hello All!

I purchased Vegas 4.0 during the timeframe where you get the free update to 5.0.

The fine print read that this upgrade offer was only available to residents of the U.S.A.

After contacting Sony, and emailing a scanned copy of my invoice, Sony have decided to honour the offer to me, (possibly after I pointed out that the downloaded version was all I required - saving postage).

So

THANK YOU & WELL DONE SONY!

Excellent customer service, in keeping with what I'd heard!

So, I'm off tonight to enjoys the dial up load down of Vegas 5!

Andy

back in the day I used to lose my dialup connection all the time. But I could dial back and it would just keep going! As long as I got reconnected fast enough that is... good luck!

Good luck on your download.
I got Vegas 4 when it came out, so the offer did not apply to me. Still, I'd like to go on record for saying I'd have been very angry if I was denied such an offer on account of me not living in this or that country. It's understandable that only local residents are offered free postage and that a long distance shipment should cost more than a short - but the product itself should cost the same everywhere. And a free offer should be available to anyone who qualifies for it in terms of recent purchase etc. I hope that was and will continue to be the case.

Yeah, set the downloads, went and watched Australia capitulate to Turkey in the Soccer, then watched Rugby league, and now 3 hrs later I've got Vegas 5 downloaded and DVDA2 30% done!

Might leave it over night. Bit like rendering - Go to bed, see what happens in the morning!
