the dreaded midi to vegas connection

any feedback on using the new roland soundscape vsc-88h3
to convert a midi file to a wav file and importing to Vegas?

Or is using cakewalk homestudio 9 then playing it thru a
amplifier and miking it into vegas still the best way to go?

Hi Paul,

If you've got an up-to-date fast PC, and a few hundred $, GigaStudio
is the best midi to audio converter you can get. I saw a post
describing using the audio capture function in GS to create a .wav
file for each midi track, then open all the .wav files in Vegas,
voila. I've not yet tried multitrack ones, but I've used GS audio
capture to create CD's of midi sequences, works great.

They also sell "SoundWare" CD's, one has a set of GenMidi samples in
150 and 500 MB sizes, I bought the 500 one, superb sound.
