The Gradient Map Filter - Amazing

Lately I've been playing with the Gradient Map filter. At first I just switched to some of the presets and thought not a big deal. It wasn't until I started to play with it and choosing my own colors, gradient curves, gradient points, etc that I discovered what a fantastic effects filter this is.

I'm getting some great results on some of my "effects" type shots of the girls and must say, looking pretty good. I've yet to try doubling the video, putting the GM filter on one of the tracks and playing with the compositing mode with the the UN-filtered track.

***BTW, Sony, in future releases, can you PLEASE allow us to mousewheel scroll thru those composoting modes ??? ***

Getting some resuts that rival the poorly engineered MovieLooks and all gradient effected footage plays back nice and smooth.

Gonna tweek some setting and maybe put some presets on my site.

WTG! Stoney!

Once you're hooked there aint no turning back.

Vegas, with all the FXs and so on is magical.

You should try out the "Directional" lighting you get with Bump Map. I can really see you using this to make creative panned/to-the-beat lighting FXs from BM.

Any chance you are willing to share your newly found results?

Lots to do!

VASST and Edward's site have a place for sharing FXs.

Can you post a couple stills?
You know I follow ALL your work, Stan, and I would much love to learn what you're referring to. A couple stills would be most inspirational.
Maybe even a BRIEF tute could help us who are "Filter Challenged."

I have mentioned before that I think this would be an enormous creative tool to have the compositing modes work this way.
