From Sonic Foundry, to Sony Creative Software, to Magix, this editing software we obviously value and appreciate at some level has had a storied history. I believe VEGAS was going to be abandoned a few years ago, like ACID (also revived, not coincidentally). But Magix stepped up and took on the task of revitalizing this unique product that is the closest to "just right" for some of us (like the Three Bears' porridge). Version 14 and the first builds of Version 15 may have tested some VEGAS fans' patience, but the Magix developers kept chipping away at the lingering bugs that drew the most ire, while adding a few long-expected enhancements.

As of May 2018, VEGAS Pro 15 is still not perfect, and (spoiler alert) it never will be perfect. But it is so vastly improved now, that I wanted to start this thread specifically for users to offer the Magix developers some words of thanks and continued encouragement. We don't owe them, technically, as we've been paying customers. But the product they've sold us is now something so much closer to that which we've been clamoring for ... for several years, preceding Magix' involvement. So, if you have some kudos to offer, I hope you'll state them "publicly" here...
