Windows 10 is now up to an optional update of 2004 as of the last few days

”Few days” = 38 days (Windows 10 May 2020 Update), and this update is unavailable for my Windows 10 Enterprise:

Builds 284 and 321 (and ALL previous versions of Vegas Pro 17) work perfectly with the same my Windows 10 Enterprise.

I mentioned before, in the printscreen dated 05/06/2020 on page 1 and also in the printscreen with which I answered you before, above.

Even on a 4k screen, that was completely and utterly unreadable. For goodness sakes, why did you not mention it clearly in your text post/comments?

Sorry for the inconvenience! When I answered you above, I put a printscreen, the same as on 06 / 05.2020, where it is readable.

Repeat printscreen:

Please note the complete sentence - not just a selection of the sentence that you have highlighted - makes a suggestion to upgrade to Server or Enterprise. In no way does that screen dump show that you have Enterprise installed.

On closer inspection, it can be seen that - on the recommendation to update, I tried to update, and in that printscreen you can see the answer. It can be deduced from the answer that the CPU, memory and disk space were checked, which are OK, but when checking Windows, it was recommended to consult the administrator. It follows that this is Windows Server or Windows Enterprise. Anyway, I'm not giving up my Windows Enterprise, even if I can't upgrade it. I prefer to continue working with Vegas Pro build 321 (with the same Windows Enterprise!). A good day!

Hi!

I found a possible solution (which worked for me, before I didn't load the MTS, now I do).

Since with version 17 b387 you can read the MTS, I have replaced the mvcplug.dll by that version.
[c:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 17.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\mvcplug\]

A friend has tried it with Vegas v18 and it has also worked,

I attach the link to the file. (7days active)

Good luck.!!!!

Thank you for trying to help!
I was looking forward to coming home to try your solution.
But ... unfortunately, it's the same result ...
I know my version of Windows Enterprise is to blame, because at work, Vegas Pro 18 works well on Windows Home Edition.
However, I get along so well with this version of Windows that I will not give it up. I can install any version of Vegas Pro I still have on my computer, from V13 to V17, version 321. No, nothing has changed in Windows, but since Vegas Pro 17, version 353, some changes have been made , which crashes in Vegas when you access a .MTS file.
If Vegas Pro does not return to the previous state V17-build 353, the only solution for me is to convert ALL .MTS files created by Panasonic camcorder (there are several hundred files in a 3-hour project) with Free Shutter Encoder in the files. avi, .mov, .mp4 ...

pitufodelbosque wrote on 9/2/2020, 4:14 PM

Try yo convert the files with xmedia recode (free)

MP4 - vídeo, Stream copy.

Audio, convert to AAC

It's fast (no re-code video stream) and It works, 😄

One question.
I guess your Panasonic is recording the audio in AC3... Do you have the possibility to record in PCM (LPCM)?

[My panasonic -hdc-z10000- has that option, and I haven't seen problems with MTS files with PCM audio in VEGAS 17.4xx /18]

I continue to research.

In some WIN10 replacing the file works, but in others it doesn't...
