the top line of audio get ahead of the rest

I'm putting together a virtual choir of 16-20 voices with Vegas Pro 18. So I've lined up all of the voices down to each syllable and cut-off and when I play it back I've started noticing that one of the tracks gets ahead of the rest . The last time it was the top track. However, when I stop and check the offending spot it sounds fine and the wave form is lined up perfectly. Does anyone know what's going on here and how can I overcome this?

Thanks,

SK
