The upgrades 3.0c/6.0c

I have VMS Platinum 6.0. I am pretty sure that I cannot use the Vegas 6.0c upgrade (at least Sony support said I could not). Can I replace my original DVDA(rchitect) with the 3.0c DVDA since DVDA seems to be very much stand alone in the VMS Platinum installation?

No. You have DVD Architect "Studio". You cannot use the full version of DVD Architect with the license you have.
