"...what is the advantage of this bug (i mean feature) anyway?"

I haven't figured it out myself. I am told that it makes it easier to track your clips in a complex project, but I find the simplicity of the Windows file explorer sufficient to organize my media.

BTW, you don't even have to install MM. It was clear from the very beginning that this thing was a real dog, so when I installed V6, I simply halted the installation when it asked if I wanted to install MM. V6 comes up just as fast as V5, and seems pretty stable. However, it has other problems, and has no features I need, so I've stuck with V5.

You'd think we might have had a comment from Sony folks. Then again...

Grazie - thanks but I have V5 and my 3rd option from the bottom of that list is "Enable joystick support".

Anyone have V5 that knows where the option to turn MM off is? It's not in the General - Preferences as with V6.

OOPS! How come you got MM with Vegas5 ? ? Huh? If I'd known you had or were speaking of Vegas5 then I would have kept my BIG TRAP shut! And no mistake . . !

Grazie -
Had I known V5 did not have MM to begin with, I would have kept MY big trap shut! I guess that explains why I couldn't find anything about it in the index of my big fat V5 manual, huh? Oops!!

Thanks so much for your reply :-) Always enjoy reading your posts.
