Tiles & Text Scale Scale Slider In Preview Window Missing

Hey guys, I'm still new to video editing, I've been learning it on Vegas 14.

I've doing WWE 2k17 videos on youtube for the past 2 months now and haven't had any issues with Sony Vegas until today. Everything worked fine yesterday evening before I saved my work and finished for the day. With WWE videos I have to add in text for promo's etc...so I use the tiles and text thing a lot. When I opened my saved project and added some text, the scale slider over in the preview box no longer shows up. I can't resize or move anything.

I've went to view and set everything to default, uninstaled and reinstaled, I did the ctrl/shift on the desktop icon to reset to default settings, nothing works.

I tried a new video with a new clip, still won't work.

I can't seem to find any topics on this anywhere, has anyone ever come across this? Anyone who can help I would really appreciate it.

Yup - repro'ed and workaround.

What with all the issues over VP handling different Text Styles (read and weep), I temporarily switched font style to plain vanilla ARIAL. This kicked in the all Controls we were missing. Then I switched back to VERDANA. That did it. Why? I have absolutely no idea at all. Something which is deeply, deeply coding that is FUBAR.

I gave it a try on my project but still not working. Everything seems to be messed up mine. Once I add text the preview no longer plays, audio will play, but the preview window frame gets locked.

Strange thing is, I noticed last night that if I open Vegas and turn the grid thing on above the preview window, it turns the scale slider box on again with text, but then you have a full grid.

Might be the only work around I have to be able to finish off my vid, then look into using another program since there seems to be no fix for this issue.

I installed it on my older comp, the scaler box is there works fine, but its an older cpu and gpu I doubt it will render very good.

So it seems like the only fix for this is to format, there must be something in the registry or somewhere that is messing things up.
