Thanks Nick. My intent was to say Thank You! Everything I know is because of Vegas and the super talented people on this forum.

I agree, Vegas Pro has become too boring and fills up with bugs over and over again ... Me too I find that the work has been largely botched, just to put money in pocket. Luckily that other editors work hard to lay a stable software and that with less bugs, like Resolve 12.5 (before the 14 does so). The only version I like VEGAS PRO, was that the 12 that had still not too many bugs and less crashes software.
I say that Vegas Pro is finished since its last version, the 13.
Why continue software that is totally dead for months, and years? It's silly.
As much as the old team of Sony we lay a brand new video software, for example to make a Final Cut Pro X version windows where a brand new novelty.

What is Final Cut Pro X for Windows? Do you mean Catalyst Suite from Sony? It is way too expensive ($99.00 per year) which is essentially a copy of Vegas, even Keyboard shortcuts are same... and still as buggy as Vegas V13 & v14. I downloaded their Catalyst Production Suite 2017.1 Trial version. After 14 days when trial was expired, I uninstalled it.

No I meant he could create something new and definitely stop Vegas Pro, that they invent a new product that will take the place of Vegas simply. And that would be if possible fewer bugs, crashes, a full work on it, and stop going out very quickly the product, and then fills with bugs and you have to constantly update it afterwards. I'm starting to get fed up with people who work to pull it out to put money in the pocket and release a software not at all complete, fills with bugs and others! I like it when the work is neat and really well done. The version 14, it looks like an amateur work and not at all professional. It's a shame ! He released it too quickly this version!

The only NLE I know of that has recently  been re-written from the "ground up" is Final Cut  Pro X.    All the others are building on old code.    The reason is simple economics:  You need to keep a revenue stream to fund the new development efforts, plus the existing code has tens of thousands of man-hours invested.

My opinion: Vegas is still the best option and I have hope that the new owners and dev team will do good things.  I certainly think that they have a golden opportunity to do so.

PS And as far as "bugs."  They ALL have them; Vegas is NOT especially buggy!

Since I found out V14 no longer has or supports AC3 Pro, there is little reason to stay with it compared to Resolve 14. I was looking forward to using Resolve, then finish and author in Vegas. Oh well. Life goes on.
