Apply the timecode fX to the media itself (right-click in the Project bin, and apply "Media fX"), rather than to the event or to the track.

that worked for one clip, but i have a few clips that need to function the same way within the same timeline.

I am not sure I understand exactly, but I think what you are saying is that you want one clip to start at some timecode and then continue to some timecode number, whether you cut it or not. That was the question I answered in my last post.

Now, I think what you are saying is that you want to have another clip (where "clip" is defined as something from another file) continue from the timecode of the previous clip. If this is the case, you can use the technique in my

Count Up/Down Sports Clock

to set the starting timecode of the next clip to follow the timecode of the previous clip. You will have to manually adjust the starting value, as shown in the VEG file I linked to above, for each clip.

I don't know of any way to get everything you want without some sort of manual work.

sorry about the confusion:
I'd like to have 2 different captured files with the same type of timecode that you described in the first bit of feedback.
