Timecode In value is 0,0 for each clip

All clips imported to Vagas Movie 9.0 Platinum start from 0,0.00 Timecode against date and time taken. My camera is hard drive type Sony HDR-SR10 and I am using PMB for clips import. When file properties checked I can see the value of date and time clip was taken. Regret after file imported to Vegas this info disapears (sets to 0,00).
This makes ddifficult synchronization with second camera.

Try adding the timecode effect in the media pool, rather than on the timeline. This should pick up the date/time stamp in the file.

Regret it did not help. Again each clip starts from 0,0.
Used Timecode FX inside Media pool before moved to timeline.
Tried a few times - thank you for help.

Regrettably, Vegas has never supported access to the recording date and time of a video clip, even though you can see them in the media properties.

The "Timecode" FX only accesses the timecode data in the traditional film (video) sense: the elapsed time of a clip. Apply Timecode FX to an event on the timeline and you get the time since the start of that event (I think -- or is it time from start of the original source clip?). Apply it to a track header or the entire project and you get the elapsed time since the start of the timeline. Apply it to a clip in the media pool and you will get the timecode of the media with regard to where it is on the original tape. (Or at least from memory thats how I think it works...)

I would guess that file-based camcorders probably start each clip with 0:00:00;00.

You can specify a custom "start" timecode when using the Timecode FX, but I don't think that's going to help you unless you manually set it for each clip in your media pool.

Dear all, thank you for your answers!
Meanwhile downloaded Vegas Pro manual an found that there is multicamera programme module that supports synchronization of multiple tracks form multiple cameras using time code or time stamp (date and time taken).
Then the soulution is Vegas Movie upgrade to Vegas Pro...
