I was just editing a piece in VEGAS 6 and noticed that I had TimeCode in my Video preview window. I am curious as to how I did this? (I'm unable to reproduce it) I thought that you had to add TimeCode as an FX in Vegas. Is this a new feature in V6?

How do i get TimeCode to Appear/Dissapear in my Video Preview window?

Very handy feature for passing off files for review.

You add the TC FX to the media in the Project Media.
Another way, most decks can burn in TC so it's there when you capture, can save rnedering time and you know for certain it's correct however of course it's burnt in for good until you recapture.
I've learnt to ALWAYS put TC in preview copies, at least once I've had a client say "Oh, that's all we wanted" and then forget to pay!

I guess that's what I did.
Added an FX to the Video Preview Window.
I'm happey with it... just thought I had found something cool & new.

Good idea about putting TimeCode on any 'preview' work. I had been using PhotoShop to put my LOGO on my 'preview' work. I adjust the opacity so it's visible and if they tried to keep the piece... it would have my LOGO 'burned in'.

Now I'll have my LOGO & TimeCode. Nice!
