Timecode in vision

Trying to get the time code in vision to clone to a VHS. I have used the timecode filter but it always starts at 00:00:00:00. I need tape timecode and not something that doesn't relate to the master tapes.
I'm sure it's been covered before but I can't find it in the forum. Any ideas.

Apply the timecode FX to the clip in the Media Pool

John depending on your Camera/player there is normally the option to display TC on the TV, use that and copy straight to VHS, no capture no render and always reliable.

When you get the TC back, load Vegas and it will all tie in nicely. I think there is a script out there that will allow import from Excel and past into V5 and loads the bits of clips required and or puts them on the TL:

Download this simple VEG file and open it in Vegas. Read the text in the preview window as the video plays. It should explain what you need to do, and show you how to do it.
