Timeline/Preview layout in V9

OK, this has probably been addressed, but I've spent at least 2 hours searching here and the V9 help and I'm worn out! I've been using Vegas since 2.0 and have always loved the layout and associated workflow. I have V7 and was thinking of the latest upgrade offer. I don't have HD camcorder yet, so I'm not forced - but the price is very good now. Anyway, this seems trivial, but the "new" layout has the timeline on the bottom and the preview, explorer and bus "windows" on the top. I've been dragging "up" for 10 years now and I don't want to (nor do I feel I should have to) change my workflow. I can't imagine this isn't customizeable, but I can't figure out how to switch the view (and don't understand why Sony changed something that has been consistent for 10 years). What am I missing???!!!

Options / Preferences / Display.
Untick the box that says "display timeline at bottom of main window".
Next time you start Vegas it will be arranged the way you like it.

We're guessing they changed it because most other "professional" NLEs are this way too, and they didn't want to confuse potential new converts.

Oh! Thanks. I knew it had to be something simple, but somehow I missed this check box! With increased capabilities comes increased complexity... Thanks again!!!
