I'm looking for a script to convert regions into CD tracks, along the lines of Tools > Lay Out Audio CD from Events, or Sound Forge's Special > Regions List > Markers to Regions, but for arbitrary media on the timeline, and without having to manually edit gaps etc.
I have long live recordings containing many numbers, and I'd like to mark the desired regions which I want as CD tracks, and then "push a button" to delete the stuff between regions, insert 2 second gaps (or crossfades), and then "N" the regions into CD regions ready to burn (or render). That would sure save alot of time over manually editing the timeline into a CD layout! This would also speed up burning CDs from LPs recorded in one big file.
Anybody know if there is a script for that already? The "Markers To Regions", "Add2SecondGap" and "RegionsToChapters" scripts at VASST seem related to what I want to do, but not quite there.
