After capturing 55 minutes of an event from VHS, and then editing it down to about 50 minutes, I want to output the Vegas timeline to a DVD, using a Pioneer 7000 via firewire.
Is anyone having success with this workflow?

From this burned copy, I will make several more copies using some generic software that came with the computer's internal DVD recorder.

From a previous thread:

RalphM stated:
"I'm now encountering a problem wherein an avi file being output to the burner via 1394 shows sound dropouts of 1 - 2 seconds on a regular basis."

The thread never concluded whether he was having a Pioneer or a Vegas malfunction.
The output via firewire to the Pioneer 7000 workflow seems like it should work. I just wanted to see if other users are actually doing it this way with success.
