Timeline tooltips are too slow to appear

In VP12/VP13, timeline tooltips appear much slower than they did in older versions such as VP8 and VP10. By this I mean this sort of thing:

This slows me down when I'm editing, in particular when I want to know the length of a fade or transition. I have to hover for about a second before the tooltip appears. Anyone else?

I found an internal preference, "Multiline Tooltip DisplayTime" and set it to it's minimum value of 5,000 instead of the default 20,000, but it didn't seem to have any effect. Maybe it's for something else.

Maybe this registry adjustment?

Thanks for the suggestion Jerry. Actually I had already changed MouseHoverTime from the default of 400ms to 50ms as part of general Windows tweaks when I was setting up my machine. It doesn't seem to have any affect on how long it takes the timeline tooltips to appear. I verified this by setting it to the maximum of 4000 ms and the tooltip still took about a second to appear.
