Tip for Vegas start up

I cleaned a few hundred redo buffers, recovered .veg, and server log files out of /Users/****/AppData/Local/Sony/Vegas Pro/8.0/ and now Vegas seems to start up in about half the time it used to. Running 8.0c on Vista 32. My imagination?

Thanks -- that sort of thing drives me nuts [in a Monkish sort of way] -- but don't see anything in XP Pro SP3 32 or 7 64.

Only one .veg.bak in my Vista system AppData folder.
