Tips, Tricks, & Scripts - Issue #2

jetdv wrote on 3/14/2003, 8:55 AM
The second issue of Tips, Tricks, and Scripts is now ready at http://www.jetdv.com/tts/TTS01-02.pdf and continues where issue #1 stopped. I have started issue #3 which will be expanded to 6 pages and will be available near the beginning of April.

If you believe you have subscribed but have not received an e-mail about this issue then one of two things happened:
1. I did not get your e-mail address with your submission
2. The e-mail address given bounced back with an error (non-existent user)

Thanks for all the great comments concerning the newsletter. It will slowly be evolving over the next several issues. However, I still need your input. If you have an idea for an article, send it to me. If you want to WRITE an article, send me the idea and offer.

Edward

I must have missed something. How do I get an e-mail subscription? Grob

It's listed in the newsletter but all you have to do is go to the Tips, Tricks, & Scripts Homepage and click on the subscription link. By subscribing, you will receive e-mails when new issues are released and any other news concerning the newsletter. Plus, after a few more issues I will stop giving notifications of new issues on the forums.

I guess those of us that put up FREE tutorials on the web should turn them into pay per view sites. <wink>

BillyBoy, the newsletter is going to remain free as long as possible. I only asked the money question for a few reasons:

1. If I get enough downloads, it MAY start costing me money.
2. I am attempting to commit to a regular schedule - roughly twice monthly covering several topics. The tutorial sites usually don't attempt a regular schedule for new tutorials. Maybe 3 in one month, or 3 in one year.
3. The schedule requires a serious time commitment.

This is designed to be more like a magazine subscription than a tutorial site. However, I am trying to maintain the free status while producing a quality product. If you subscribe, you will NOT be getting a pay request until it absolutely becomes necessary. Even in that case (for example, if I exceed my bandwidth), I may seek external help before requiring payment. But, since this WAS based on the idea of a magazine, I did not want to rule out the possibility of a paid subscription.
