Tired of clips moving

I've got an hour long video all set to go with multiple tracks. I have one thing I want to correct near the beginning and I don't want to distrupt all the tracks. Can I for instance lock video tracks to audio tracks so that they will stay together even if I delete tracks at the beginning of the video. Sorry such a newbie question, but you have to start somewhere.

Hi Mark,

1) You can turnoff the auto ripple that would work.

or

2) Use the selection edit tool to select the tracks and hit "G" to group
the video tracks and the audio tracks.

Ah perfect

One more question. Once you've grouped it's hard to tell what's grouped with what. If you want to ungroup is there an easy way to identify grouped clips?

Not that I know of, or can think of.

If you click one of the files in the group, the others show up with a not-very-noticeable blue box around them. But you have to click on one of the grouped events. I.e., you can't see them otherwise.

Yes, I reckon this would be a great improvement to a future version - maybe some sort of colour coding to indicate grouped events.

Yeah! And a right-click-drag option to "Add to group". (ie drag and drop a clip onto another clip with option to add it to the other clip's group).
